The main goal for 2011 is to re-design our online interface so that it can best serve as a research database and tool for members of our network and the public alike. The new site will unite emerging Slow design methods, projects and theoretical currents with the voices of our network.

us realize our ambitious new goal for bringing slow conversations
to the public sphere.We hope to expand the 'Slow
Dialgoues' to cities around the world. Hosted by trusted members
of our network, these intimate events will stimulate locally-based
communication and collaboration on slow design ideas and projects.

A sure way to inspire slowness and spread our movement is by publishing our projects and ideas, both electronically
and in print form. Small
books, weblogs, posters and postcards are on the agenda for 2011. Your
contribution will help us realize those projects!

Academic Initiatives . . . . fundraising
goal: $2,500
Through
lectures, workshops and curriculum development, slowLab spreads
the thinking and methodologies of 'slow design' to educational
institutions around the world. Help us fund the development of
print and online materials to maintain and grow these academic
initiatives.
